There exists a technique to burn fat that diverges from the conventional wisdom of using cardio exercises. It is also possible to lose fat using weight lifting techniques. You should pick a weight that you are able to do 15 reps of, but you should instead do only 10 repetitions. You then take a break of a few seconds and do another 3 series of 10 repetitions, for a total of 40 lifts.

This is a good technique to gain muscle mass but is also very useful to burn fat, because it releases lactic acid. You also do minor damages to your fibers, which will cause your body to burn more energy to repair these. The faster you do the lifts the more it will burn fat using this technique.
