Hydration: What Exactly Am I Drinking?

Not everyone knows that there are ingredients in sports drinks that are not very good for your health. Everyone knows that hydration is very important for doing sports, because a depletion in electrolytes can have a detrimental effect on performance, causing things like cramping.

Every sports drinks from every company includes electrolytes which are very useful, but the problem is they also contain ingredients which are detrimental to your health. Among these ingredients we fin sugar, even glucose.

To have a better quality of sports drink it is possible to make your own at home. Some ingredients that were found to be very useful include cherries and coconut water. Note however that you most likely don’t need a sports drink unless you are out of breath for an hour or more.
