Should I Be Worried about My Knee Clicking?

Ever have your knee occasionally click or pop when performing daily basic movements of your leg? It happens when something in the join is out of place, and can be accompanied by severe pain. As such, it is wise to ask yourself whether you should be worried about your knee clicking. There are five different reasons why one could experience knee clicking: unnecessary tissue around the knee, runner’s knee, severe damage to the meniscus, arthritis, and an ACL or MCL tear. These conditions cause knee clicks for varying reasons. Some generate unnecessary tissue that leads to clicking as you extend your leg. Others tangle nearby ligaments, causing a click when the ligament passes by other parts of the knee.
